RP from BHB:: BP Gift Dilemma (Warning:: Long!)

I have the same dilemma. I wanted to do personal stuff as well... one BM is from MD and has never been to a broadway show. I was going to get her tickets to a good one. One guy is a huge cigar lover, we were going to buy really good ones and a nice humidor, etc...

But, then I started feeling like I should do jewelry instead for the girls. My thought -- then they don't need to buy it for the wedding and it is likely something they will have/use forever. Can't come up with something uniform for the guys though.

So... I'm no help, but will be looking to see what people's advice is!

Jewelry is tough for me too. I feel that it is very personal, and I'm always afraid that they all may not like it, etc.

I also told my girls that they will be picking their own dresses (I just pick the color, fabric and manufacturer) and that they can wear their hair and makeup however the feel most comfortable. I told them I wanted them to be 'them' and I felt if I got them all jewelry, it kind of defeated the purpose of them wearing what they like, and accessorizing the way they feel comfortable. With the Tiffany necklaces, it was something I thought they would have like to have, and not to be worn for the wedding, if that makes any sense???
