If you dont use them around the centerpiece-could you use the fabric covered ones for the cocktail hour? that way you can still use the idea

Are you putting favors on the table too denise???
I like the idea of the smaller arrangements around the base, and you can still use votives if you want, but I wouldnt wrap the votives in anything, use plain white, if you are going with something colorful or wrapped with the smaller arrangements. Esp if you are putting favors on the tables, bc it might be too much.
I would go down to JT and bring some props and play around with a fully made table there (if they have one set up)
I did that at HWC and took a lot of pics in determinig how i could decorate my tables. Also take pics of the tables bare...its a BIG HELP!
thats what i was afraid of, by it being too much i meant will it be too much to put on the table and then make it cluttered and not enough space. I didnt buy favors yet, so not 100% sure if i am putting favors on the tables but there is a big chance i might. Since its round, i'll also have less space to play with. But yeah if i put favors on the tables then yeah youre right it might get too cluttered then. Maybe if i get frosted votives and just put ribbon on it and use the menu's and favor boxes to incorporate the colors.
I would really consider taking a trip down to JT with some props that can show you how cluttered it could get and bring a camera, so whenu make decisions u can see how you can incorporate things, esp since you havent ordered favors yet.
Remember people are putting glasses and there are bread plates and people put cameras on there too, etc etc.
But I can kind of see what you want to do, and Its beautiful!!! With the right arranging it could really work and be something really beautiful!
ahhhh rectangle tables are easier lol.
Yeah you are right, i dont want to sit here and start picking things and in the end it might be just too much. With the glasses and everything else on the table, there can end up being no room for anything lol. Thank you, very good advice

also, what about colored linens?? or are you sticking with the candle/flower additions? or, even though you arent having roses, what about spreading pink rose petals on the table tops?

I will probably use what JT has, dont know if i should go spending more money right now lol.
Pink is not in my color scheme, i answered your other post but dont know if you saw. My colors are chocolate brown and blue so im trying to figure out how to add blue and brown to the tables. Brown is easier but trying to figure out blue elements

Re: RP FROM BHB: is this too much for the table
I like the idea of incorporating some more of your colors into your table- either with small CP's or tea lights, etc. I agree with the poster above that you should go to JT and look at the tables to visualize. I actually did this last weekend with my RH- to visualize table #'s, CP's, how many people at the table, favors on table, etc and it helped alot. Also while you are there check out the cake table (how big- if you want to add decoration to that) and I'm also doing slipper baskets, bathroom baskets, card cage, etc. and checked out all the tables, spaces for those & how big each were... Love your colors & your sample though- very pretty

no only my bok has some pink in it, but other than that there is nothing else pink in the wedding. It will be chocolate brown/blue with accents of taupe and ivory

Re: RP FROM BHB: is this too much for the table
i personally think it is a lot depending on how you do it. your CP is gorgeous so i would not want to detract from that; the most i would do is small votive candles or even short square vases with 1 flower floating in it... i saw this at the water club once and i LOVED it; i think that would look gorgeous. You could do a blue flower (sorry i'm clueless so i can't think of an actual flower that's blue) or blue candles/votive holders
or, i agree with the other poster that you could do those smaller ones for CH tables because those are really nice also
