hey you are a parent! do you think its better to keep the kids at a table or with their parents. what age should they be with the parents or at the kids table??

u know tlde, i'm a parent also, andi think the kids table would be fun, but i'm worried bout whether or not they will need assistance.. age 7 and up should be able to handle it with a little supervision.. i mean they eat alone at school every day right?

i'm thinking bout hiring a student to come to the wedding to watch them..

i forgot that you are a parent!

yeah i am pretty sure that i am NOT doing a kid's table - i know that the kids on MY side of the family would be better off with their parents due to age and also MAJOR shyness ( i bet my niece wouldn't even answer a waiter taking her order ) but the kids in FH's family are REALLY outgoing and a little older so they would enjoy it. . . but then again they are also hyper and may need their parents to control them! LOL

ETA: thats a great point about school LOL i didnt think of it that way

yeah tilde.. my church is in my town which is also the town i work in, and i used to teach sunday school.. so several of my students i know on a personal level.. one of my students for this upcoming year lives across the street from me.. and have for YeARS!! so her parents would be there.. so i'm thinking why not invite her also to work the kids table..

give the parents a pseudo night out..

hey ladies,

andreaes on the BHB board posted that she's having her kids sitting with their parents but then she's going to have a separate table of crafts nad activities for the kdis to go when they get bored.. i like this idea A LOT.. so they can eat with their parents but stay occupied.. some glue, some crayons, some easy crafts..
