RP from Newlywed Boards: March of Babies Walk
Sorry for crashing guys! but I wanted to try and get this across to as many ladies as possible.
Ok So I was thinking about this because so many ladies on these boards and everyone really lieks to be helpful and come together, so what if weorganized something for a cause?
Every year I do the March of Dimes walk, now called the March for Babies. i was a premie, as were my twin sisters who didnt make it, and my now 6' tall brother lol. he was 4 pounds and 11 oz and I was 5 pounds and 2 oz. Tracey and Vanessa whom I walk for every year, were a pound apiece. Two years ago I walked for a friend whose daughter was born 1 1/2 pounds.
I have always raised a good amount of money on my own, but I was thinking maybe we can make it a team effort this year? I will be posting the little site they give each person registered, so people can donate online if they want. But I thought maybe we could do it as team LIW. Kim has given us the A-OK to be called Team LI/NYC Weddings.'
The walk starts at Lincoln Center and is 6 miles long but you go at your own pace. No ned for pwoeralking or sprinting. It might be alot of fun with many of us and its excercise! let me know what you guys think. I would be willing to try and organize it with help.
