RP from recipies..Brown sugar

I am making Blondies. Is there a big taste difference between light and dark brown sugar? The recipie I have says brown sugar, not light or dark. I bought dark.

Re: RP from recipies..Brown sugar

I think dark brown sugar does have a slightly syrupy taste than the light brown. The light brown is normally used when baking.

Re: RP from recipies..Brown sugar

Dark brown is slightly sweeter, but the two are pretty much interchangable.

ETA: Your Blondies might also come out a little darker than true Blondies.
