RP: Need advice from those who took pics before the ceremony!!!

My FH and I have decided that we are definitely taking pics before our ceremony so we don't have to rush during the CH. So now that we have about 3 hrs (or more) for pics we were thinking of going to a few different locations. Did you go to several locations for pics or did you just stick to one spot?

We're just thinking that it might be a pain to keep getting in and out of the limo, but it would be nice to have different backgrounds too.

Just one spot. It was my aunt's beautiful home and her property. I think if you go to different places you run the risk of running late and having something happen.

we took all of ours on the grounds of the carlyle.

I'm taking my pictures at avalon in stony brook. Its beautiful! It has woods, a lake, a small pond with a stone bride, three circlar areas that is just beautiful. I wanted to have my wedding ceremony there but they don't allow weddings. But they do allow pictures.

Time FLIES!!! There really is no time to go from spot to spot. Find a location that has multiple backdrops. That is your best bet.

We took pics before the ceremony and during our 1 & 1/2 hr. CH and STILL didn't have time to get into our CH like we had hoped.

We also took pics for about 3 hours beforehand and it was really great. We went to several locations but they were all inside Glen Island Park, so we weren't traveling too much. It was really great and each location was so different.

DH and I (and my parents) went to planting fields arboretum for about an hour. Then, we met everyone else at the Crescent to take family and BP pictures.

We didn't have a lot of time, so we stayed in one location (Fire Island Lighthouse), but walked around and took photos from different spots.

We had two spots. The first one was the meeting place. My mother's house. She had great property so we took lots of pics there. Then we all got in the bus and went to the Hall and took pictures in their gardens. before the ceremony.

Hey Jess! We are taking ours at my mom's house before, lots of green and flowers. Then right after the ceremony, we will jet across the river to a little island for some beachy pics.
