Wow, that's a really broad list!! Where are you located? Remember, that once you start alterations you're going to have to travel to the bridal salon pretty often. That should help you knock some of those off.

I'm in Bklyn but traveling isn't that big of a deal if I find the perfect dress. Also, money isn't an issue when it comes to my dress so can't narrow it down according to $

Ok, then I would stay in the NYC/BK/Queens area. No need to travel out to Nassau or Suffolk.
You can find the perfect dress and have any reputable bridal salon order it for you. Going to a place that's in your area will be much easier once you start with alterations bc things will get hectic btw your fittings and everything else you have to do at that point!!

i went to bridal reflections in massapequa - the woman was too busy helping everyone else but me!! wasnt too crazy about their selection especially if you have no budget!!

#5 in Great Neck...the sales people were not very nice and the bridal selection was very small. They have a lot of stuff in one store....lots of mother of the bride, bridesmaid and flower girl dresses.

I have not heard such great things about Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. From what I have heard, the women there are very snotty and also, I am not sure if it was the Bridal Reflections in Carle Place or Massapequa but they really screwed up a brides dress with alterations and on her wedding day the dress did not stay put. It was a whole big thing and there is a review on this site from her. Sorry, I cannot remember who it was.
As for Renates, I have heard good things about that place.

1. I would not recommend Lestan's. They are very nasty and the customer service is horrible.

#4 - RK Bridal - Olga was honestly so patient, sweet, kind and actually chose a dress for me that I would have never even looked at. She's really good at what she does and I HIGHLY recommend her.

I had a very eh experience at Bridal Reflections. I LOVED Lidia's in Copaigue...great service, beautiful salon. You would have no idea from looking at it outside! However, she doesn't carry the really high end designers but she does have a nice selection.

I would not recommend Paradse or BS in BayShore to buy. You can try on there, but they are overpriced.
BS also misquoted me a price over the phone twice. When I went all the way there it was all of a sudden more $.

Well I am planning on going to Kleinfelds and bridal salon in Manhasset. My friend also suggested RK bridal, she said they were great, I might try that place too.

Had a great experience at RKBridal - Emily or Olga are good.
As far as where you order the dress and get alterations - these can be a t two separate locations. In other words, you do not have to get your alterations where you purchase your dress. You can go elsewhere that is convenient to you.

I -highly- recommend Lori from vera wang. (you get a free gift if you get your dress there)
Katy from Wedding atelier was really nice too!
If you dont mind shopping in manhattan, Kleinfeld/VW/WeddingAtelier are places you really should visit, you only get one chance to shop for a wedding gown and they are all really popular places, have them be part of your shopping adventure!
