RP: trial gone wild

RP: trial gone wild

I was super excited to have my hair and make-up trial and though it came out ok, it was NOT what I asked for. Do I give them a second chance or if they can't get it right the first time then go with someone else? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did you bring in pics of what you were looking for. my friend is a hairstylist and she said its easier to see what someone wants rather than to hear it...if they were nice, why not give them another shot. but if you didnt click, i'd look around

hahaha im giving advice and i havent even found my own hair/mup

I brought in pics for both the hair and make up and specifically said which colors NOT to use. And that's what I got! Again, the application was nice but it wasn't what I asked for. the hair girl I wouldn't even give another chance!

then screw them and look elsewhere. if you told her and showed her, theres no excuse. good luck finding someone w/good hearing and vision

I feel your pain..........

The exact thing happened to me ....... i was sooooo disappointed. I would go somewhere else. If they didn't listen to you during your first trail, who's to say they will listen to you on your next trial.....and that will just be more money wasted.

Sorry it never turned out the way you thought it would.........

I had the same problem except my SISTER is doing my makeup and I didn't really like it...so awkward! I don't want to hurt her feelings..I told her I want to try different colors next time but she and my mom both said they loved it. AAAHHH!

Haven't had my hair trial yet. I need to get that going though..having my regular hairstylist for the last 9 yrs do it so I hope I don't have the same problem with her!

Effie, I would go with someone else. Who are you using for makeup?

I did 3 make-up trials and finally nailed it on the 3rd trial...whew!! I've had 2 hair trials and going for my 3rd in 2 weeks...let's hope 3x a charm is right for both!
good luck!!

this is my fear also.
If you like the application & it's just a matter of getting the colors right, maybe you should try her again. Can she continue to apply colors & wash them off if you don't like it? Or will she charge you for all of that?

I would so go somewhere else. You have a wedding to pay for and you can't afford to keep paying the same person to do what you specifically asked them not to do. I didn't give my first make up trial lady a second chance and instead, met with Jacqueline Nicole, who's amazing, and booked her on the spot. You'll just know which vendor is the right one for you. Good luck!

Re: RP: trial gone wild

thanks girls for your ideas and opinions!!!!! I'm setting up some other appointments so that I can get the look I want. Not that I'm happy to hear that some of you went for many trials, but I walked away feeling like it was ME when even my sister told them things to avoid when working on me (she came for moral support- thank goodness she was there! )
