RP: what is the rule with inviting people from work?
Original post by MrsStefan
I have relationships with LOTS of people from work but I cant afford to invite them all. I know that some people say 'either all or nothing' but Im not in the position to do that. I know of at least 4 people that will be invited but Im not sure about others. What are you all doing? Do I HAVE to have a guest invited if they are not in a relationship? Is that tacky?

i work in a small firm. I invited my two bosses with their wives to my ceremony and reception. I invited all the secretary's at my firm to the ceremony only

I would only invite people who have hung out with FI and I outside of work.

I read somewhere a while ago that it is neccessary to invite your boss, bu that is all. That's ettiquitte, though- if you personally want to invite some, but not others- thats difficult. I am doing the all or none approach, but inviting only the bosses.
UGH!! My boss drives me CRAZY! If he was at my wedding I would be miserable.... There are a few people I might invite but even those are on the B-list. It's a tricky situation. FH is inviting a TON of coworkers so I think it's all about who you want at your wedding!
