RP:NWR: Meralgia Paresthetica OR Femoral Nerve Damage--UPDATE

Has anyone had any experience with either Meralgia Paresthetica OR Femoral Nerve Damage. I was in a car accident and bruised my upper thigh area, and now I have numbness and a constant stabbing pain in my thigh and top of my left leg. From ALOT of research, I have narrowed it down to these two things, and both kind of scare me . So I was wondering if any had any info on either... Thanks in advance...

Thanks Ladies for all the hugs ..... I'm usually a tough cookie about things, especially pain. I have to be in my profession; a tough front right???? Well, since the accident I have tried and tried just to get better. And I keep hitting detours. Fine... Life is full of them, and I'm use to that. But when people start causing them (my job) intentionally I just can't put up with that. I recently went to the hospital due to the numbness in my leg, and I was told it was neurological. But try and make an appt with a neurologist now..... 'Sorry Mame... there are no appointments until the end of FEBRUARY!!!!!'

I ask you guys questions b/c I need to talk and try to distract myself from whats going. I KNOW I have to go see a doctor, but meanwhile I look to all of you for Comfort.... I'm a people person and I'm stuck home all day everyday for a couple of months..... So... a self diagnosis is inevitable... Thankyou again for all your well wishes, they mean alot to me.
