I'd make it a week earlier since your date is so close to July 4th, and plus I like to give the stragglers an extra week where they think 'oh crap, I'm alread late' and hopefully they'll send it out. So I say May 25th.

I would send them out about 6-8 weeks before the RSVP is due -- especially if you didn't do STDs.

My RSVP was June 6th for our July 18th wedding. I still didn't have all my responses until the first week in July. It takes forever to track people down!

I put exactly one month prior. I was confused which date too, then I started to look at everyone elses on liweddings and almost everyone has exactly one month prior.

Thanks girls for your help I decided to go with May 28th about a month before...I sent out save the dates so hopefully I'll be fine.
