RSVP attrition - what do you think?
We're 10 days away from our RSVP deadline and so far we have 130 YES, 57 NO, and the rest (close to 100) haven't responded. My dad guaranteed 200 people for the hall. Do you think we should start sending out some B-list invites now??

Re: RSVP attrition - what do you think?
i would first try to call some of the people who had not responded and see what the responses are.

Re: RSVP attrition - what do you think?
Well, if all 100 that are still out decide to come, would you still be ok with an extra bunch of people? If so, send B lists out. We're sending one B list for every no we get b/c we have people we'd like to come but we have a cap on how many people we want to have in the hall. So, for every no we get in the first 3 weeks, an invite will go out!

All 100 won't come. A lot of them are elderly people whose health isn't so great.

Re: RSVP attrition - what do you think?
usually at the end there are enough no's...b/c some people hold off to see if they can rearrange things...and let me tell you...land's end won't give you anything extra (I tried - all I got were my kids counted as adults...I know it doesn't make sense...but it sounded like they were doing me a favor...)
I would send out the b's

Re: RSVP attrition - what do you think?
Definitely send out your B lists, every one of my friends who have had weddings have told me that all the no's come in the end. You can probably judge which people won't come (out of towners, elderly, etc.), so send invites to replace those people.

Re: RSVP attrition - what do you think?
I did not make my guarantee at Flowerfield. They did not throw anything in either. I wasted about $2000. I would start to consider your B list. We invited over 220 people and we only got 135 adults and 9 kids. I was so mad.

Re: RSVP attrition - what do you think?
Problem is, we don't have much of a B list. And the RSVP date is May 31. If we scrounge around for more people now, will it look painfully obvious that they are B-listed??If all else fails, I may have to post an open invite to LIW.
LOL. Just kidding.

Re: RSVP attrition - what do you think?
Do you have enough invitations printed? If you need another round then you can have them printed with a slightly later RSVP date so you won't look like you were scrounging!! But I'd definitely send to all of your current B list asap. And hey, if you do post an open invite FH and I will be there!!!

Re: RSVP attrition - what do you think?
I would send out the B list but the rsvp date needs to be changed. otherwise they will know they were a b lister. since by the time they get the invite they will only have one or two days to respond and supposely it should be in the invitees hands for one month.
