RSVP d-r-a-m-a

RSVP d-r-a-m-a

We got responses from people that were invited ALONE saying that they were coming with a guest.

We got RSVPs for 'no' and then 3 weeks later (after the RSVP date) they called and said 'oh, we changed and now we are going to come'

We got RSVPs that said 'yes. weather permitting' These are from people who won't go out if it is drizzling. So should we count you as a yes or a no??

We NEVER got RSVPs from people.

We got RSVPs from people who didn't even put their name on the card (thank goodness I numbered my cards so I knew who it was!)

I don't understand why RSVPing correctly is so difficult for people.

I have to ask what are you going to do about those people who said they were bringing a guest when they weren't invited with a guest?

I would call them and say we're limited to the number we could invite and we're sorry, but we can't have you bring a guest. That's my plan.

RSVPs are the worst! My wedding was over 6 weeks ago and I'm STILL waiting for 5 RSVPs - I guess I can assume they're not coming?????

And I hate to be the bearer of bad news but wait till the week of the wedding when you start getting the 'sorry we can't make it' calls AFTER you've given your final count.

wow that's actually ridiculous. what is WRONG with people?? most of them are probably married, too, so you'd think they would know what it's like!!! and weather permitting????? that's just out of control.

W t f??? People need to realize it a yes or no question and the invite is ONLY for the person that its addressed to.
As for 'weather permitting' I wouldn't count them in the finaly count bc its easier to add people last minute with the rh than to take people off I think. But its totally ur call.

Ugh that really s*cks. I'm nervous about people we're not inviting with guests to RSVP with ones and your experience confirms it!

I am prepared (or I say I am prepared) for the people that drop out the week of the wedding.

I SHOULD have been prepared for the +1 when not invited +1. For the 3 people that did that to me, I accepted the +1, but I sat them at a random table full of people that they don't know and probably won't get along with......so they will feel awkward. For example, the kid table. A grown adult and her uninvited +1 who RSVP'ed 2 weeks late will be sitting with the children.

Thank goodness she'll have her PLUS ONE to keep her company!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it'll give them baby fever lol.

So sorry you're going through all of that!!! As far as the 'weather permitting' person, I'd call them and say you can't tell the RH a number 'weather permitting' so do they mean 'blizzard' or 'frost'????

Good luck with the rest of your planning! You're getting married this month!!!

My cousin's bf RSVP'd No and then as a 'surprise', came anyway! Luckily, one of my friends no showed because someone vomited on her during her flight so it evened out. I KNOW my aunt knows better too!

ugh i so know what you mean... we have close to 20 extra people coming to the wedding that we didn't invite because people who we didn't invite with guests just invited guests or people we invited as 'mr and mrs' rsvp'd '5 attending,' meanwhile we never met these people in our entire lives!! i swear half the people at our wedding will be complete strangers.
