How did you figure out your RSVP date? I'd like to leave a little bit of time... I do have a few people on a B list that I'd like to invite if I have space.

my wedding is 9-8-06 and im emailing my invites june 25th with an rsvp date of july 31st......that will leave 6 weeks for me to call whoever misses the date and do my seating charts

my wedding is 10/14. We are sending invites out around 8/1 with an RSVP date of prob 9/8 b/c of labor day.

It should be about 6 weeks before your wedding date.

We did two months before because we knew we would have to track people down. If you have a B list, I would say do it at least two months before so that if you need to send out B-list invites 6 weeks before, it would still look good and the B-list people won't know they were in the B-list.

I think it matters more when you mail them then when the RSVP date is, especially if you have a b list. We are sending ours the first week of May and have an RSVP date of July 5. Our wedding is August 5. If we had a b list, I would have mailed a little earlier.
