Our wedding is March 16th is a Feb. 15th rsvp date good? We have to give our final numbers two weeks before our wedding. This leaves us approx. 2 weeks buffer for the final count.
Thank you!

Re: RSVP date?
our rsvp date was 6 weeks before the wedding
that gives you plenty of time to deal w/ stragglers and do the seating arrangments

Re: RSVP date?
just to clarify a month before your wedding not a month before you total head count. is due because this is a two week difference for me.
THANK YOU for all your responses

Re: RSVP date?
I agree too! 1 Month to give yourself the extra time for those that respond after the fact.
I had my sister's Bridal shower today at a Restuarant and the RSVP date was on the 13th of June and I still had people responding yesterday. Unbelievable, right? It worked out thank goodness.

I have the same situation as well. The hall asks for the money 2 weeks prior and I was always told about 4 weeks prior for return.
I'm probably going to put RSVP by Feb 1, that covers you just in case you have a few straglers.

Re: RSVP date?
I would have the date 4 weeks before your final count is due. It gives you more time to follow up with people who don't respond, and extra time to do your seating arrangements.

Re: RSVP date?
Well i wanted to do a month before my count is due but like four family members just screamed at me that is to much to ask... so i am doing it a month before our wedding leaving a two week buffer before head count. But thank you all for your responses. I tried to explain how everyone else is doing it and even though its our wedding i know my family can get bent on stupid stuff like this so its best for me to go with what 'they' feel now that i have seen their reaction.

Re: RSVP date?
SInce you have to give your final numbers 2 weeks before I would make the RSVP date a few days before...maybe on the 10th instead of hte 15th. I was still getting responses a week or more after my RSVP date! It was annoying.
