If I am getting married on April 24, 09 when should I indicate as to when my guest should rsvp? And when should I mail out invites?

I would mail out the invites two months before your date. The RSVP date should be one month before your wedding.

The latest RSVP date you would want is a month before your day and most brides give themselves more time than that. You will need time to call those who haven't RSVPed (unfortunately a likely event ) and do your tables and place cards, as well as give your RH a final count. Invites can be mailed out anywhere from 6-8 weeks before for most guests in the area, and 3 months before for OOT guests (or at least give them the details).

for me, i was sure to give myself some time to call the people who don't respond - so the RSVP date is set for almost 2 months before the wedding.
And the invitations should be sent at LEAST a month before that RSVP date, b/c people need time to figure out their schedules.
