Does anyone know how many weeks before the weddings the RSVP Date should be ? And I am getting married right before a holiday so do you think I should send them out about 3 months before?

Re: RSVP Date
I would send them out at least 2 months before the wedding with 4-6 weeks RSVP date.

Re: RSVP Date
A lot of people base their rsvp date on when they have to have the finals numbers in to the hall. RSVP dates typically are 4-6 weeks before the wedding and send the invites out 4-6 prior to the RSVP date

Re: RSVP Date
My hall wanted all the table seating done by June 19th and I am getting married on the tenth so I made my RSVP date ten days before.

Re: RSVP Date
My RSVP is going to be one month before. Thats what the hall told me to do.
If its right before a holiday weekend You might want to give them a few extra weeks.
Did you send out save the dtes so people know about the date?

Re: RSVP Date
My RSVP date is a month and 4 days before the wedding, and I'm getting married the week after you. My RH requires final count and payment and table arrangements 10 days prior though, so I need it early. So I made my date 11/1, because it's a Sunday, and if I don't get the last of the stragglers by the Saturday's mail, I'll have all day Sunday to formulate my plan of attack LOL.

Re: RSVP Date
Our RSVP is June 5th for our July 18th wedding. A bit earlier than usual, but I wanted plenty of time to track down stragglers.

Re: RSVP Date
Did you do save the dates? It's not as big a deal to make sure to notify people because it's so close to a holiday (presumably Thanksgiving in your case) if you sent STDs. We didn't, so I felt that the earlier the invites mailed, the better.
No matter what anyone says, I think you can do whatever you want when it comes to throwing your wedding and preparing everything. The only concern I had was that people might lose the invitations.
