what should your RSVP date be? A month before?

We are doing 6 weeks in advance, since we will be attending FH's grad school graduation and moving in between then and the wedding!
Hoping to get the table layouts, etc done before the move

i've been told it's usually a month before....and invites go out two months before.

mines over a month.
wedding is august 12th
rsvp date is july 1st

mines over a month...Wedding August 19..RSVP July 5th because I heard that I will be making a lot of phone calls...this was recommended by rh

6 weeks before and I'm still waiting on 1/3 of them as the cut off date is next saturday

Ours is over a month
September 2nd = wedding
July 21st = RSVP date
My dad's side of the family is never on time with anything so I wanted to allow extra time for them
