I think my invitations will be ready either 2/15 or 2/22 at the latest. I plan on sending them out 2/24 (or earlier). Right now the RSVP date is March 15 for my April 26 wedding. Is that too soon? I want to make sure we have enough time to chase down the stragglers, because we all know there will be lots! And i wanted to be able to invite people off the B list if we come under our minimum.

RSVP date? - Long Island Weddings
we did april 25 for may 25... that way they have a month to respond and we have time to track down RSVPs that are late. We have to give our venue the final headcount on May 15, 10 days before the wedding. So we have between April 25 and May 10 to track people down still
I think March 15 is fine for an RSVP date though, but then maybe you should send your invites out a little earlier so they still have a month to RSVP?

I don't think the RSVP date is bad, there's just not a lot of time between receiving the invitation and when the RSVP is due. You might end up getting a lot of people that don't respond, so you might be tracking down responses.

Yeah, that was my concern - although it's giving them 3 weeks to respond. You would think in a normal world that would be enough time since they have a stamp and envelope ready to go lol. I think i may push it back a few days to March 20th if my invitations are sent out 2/24. Hoping we can get them out earlier. Thanks girls!

Also if you sent out a STD that would help - people will be expecting the invite!

All I wanna do is smack my head on the desk for that! I have a GM (who's actually my friend - no FH) asking when the wedding date and he's IN the wedding ::shakes head::
