RSVP DATE???

So I'm doing my own invitations dyi.....I don't get to consult with professionals with suggestions. I don't know what date my rsvp should be!?!?!
I have an a list and a b list.....when do I put the rsvp down for the a listers?
I think final count is due to the sterling feb 28th 2 weeks before wedding. So if o have to mail out b list invites I was going to make thier rsvp date Feb 6th or 13th this was I have 2 or 3 full weeks to call and hunt people down for thier response.
Help!!

RSVP DATE???

Ok this is how we did ours. Since we are getting married in January we decided on an RSVP date a month before. That way we had another 2 weeks before we had to give our final count to our venue and call those that we sent invitations to and do not know how to read directions. As far as our B list went, the first RSVP no we received we sent out an invitation. Hope this helped and so happy for you that you did your own invitations. Congrats!!! :)

This sounds like the least stressful way to handle it!

RSVP DATE???

My only concern with sending an invite to a b lister after the first no is I might not need the b list at all. I have to guarantee 175 I'm inviting 210 I.think and if my calculations are correct I think we will be at 185.

RSVP DATE???

Do u think if I mail sat after thanksgiving nov 29tn and put an rsvp date of Jan 30th ( that's 2 full months) is good. Then if I think I'll need them as the responses come In I will send b list if needed no later then jan 3rd giving them till 2/13 ( giving them a month and a half) think that mashes sense. And no one will suspect they were a b lister lol

RSVP DATE???

I like the idea of sending out after you receive enough no's where you think you might be under your minimum.

Also, what I was thinking about doing (I got this idea from a bride on here) was that if I'm seeing that I'm going to be under my minimum and if it's getting close to the RSVP date, I'm going to call/text people on my B-list to see if they received the invitation since it's close to RSVP date (which obviously they didn't), and when they say no I'll say oh I'll send you an invite. This way you don't have to write 2 separate dates LOL It sounds so rude but this is what I'll probably do.

RSVP DATE???

Def make your RSVP date 2/6, you'll need the extra week to call the responses you didn't get. Sorry to say, everyone has to call a few. The first week I was nice and just asked them to send back their reply, the second week I wasn't as nice and just told them to let me know exactly who was coming and needed to know then NOT LATER! It still annoys me that I had to wait for almost 3 weeks AFTER my RSVP date to find out if one of my cousins was coming with her bf who replied yes for both of them and he didn't show the day of :/

CRAZY and this is why I don't want to call people, I feel like I am pressuring them to say yes and feel bad to say no to me!

Be careful sending your invites around the holidays. You don't want it to get lost in the Christmas card hustle and bustle!

That's true, I think that early is safe. Last year hannukah (sp? Sorry!) was during thanksgiving so the holiday cards started so early! This year you should be fine :)
