rsvp date and invites?

If my wedding is June 29th, when should I sent out my invitations? Also, when should the RSVP by date be? I hate the thought of having to wait for all of the responses to come back so late and then worry about doing the seating cards/figuring out seating ahhhh! but i guess that is something that always happens the month of your wedding?

rsvp date and invites? - Long Island Weddings

The RSVP should be about a month before the wedding, so May 29th.

Did you send out save the dates? If you did, you can get away with sending invitations out at the 6-7 week mark if not, I would send them out at the 8 week mark.

I sent out save the dates in June (9 months prior)
I sent out my invitations this Tuesday so they will reach most of the recipients at the 7 week mark.
My RSVP is February 14th
Wedding date: March 14th

:)

rsvp date and invites? - Long Island Weddings

we did April 25 for our May 25 wedding. We plan to send our invites out on or about march 15. I figured that is just a little more than 2 months before the wedding

We are doing a seating chart that I made, and I actually took the time to put every single person that is invited to the wedding onto the template. It is sorted alphabetically, and then the table number will go next to it. Now, when I get any no's, I can just delete their name off of the chart! It'll make it somewhat easier to handle :)

rsvp date and invites? - Long Island Weddings

We are going to send our out a month earlier than most suggest and ask for them back a month earlier. This way if we have to go to our B-list they won't feel like last minute fill ins.
According to the wedding timeline on this page we should send them out 3 months before the wedding and have them back about a month before.
I hope to send ours out next month. and have them back by April latest. We are trying to stick Very close to our guest count of 100 because we can't afford to go over by even 1 person. The second we get an RSVP of regretting they can't make it, we will be disappointed but we will send out the invite to the next guest on our wish list aka b-list.

I have the seating tentatively figured already by invite using mini post it notes of various colors. Green for his fam., Purple for mine, Orange for his friends, Yellow of mine, pink for our parents friends. Easy to move around as people rsvp or remove if they can't come.
Good Luck. :)

rsvp date and invites? - Long Island Weddings

Our wedding is June 1st. We are sending the invites out the first week of March, and the RSVP date is April 2nd. We wanted to make sure everyone who can make it has enough time to make plans if they're coming from out of town, since it is peak season out there.

I believe the invites go out 2 months before wedding and RSVP date should be 4-5 weeks before wedding. If you make it 5 weeks out, you can use the last week to call people who didnt RSVP :)

rsvp date and invites? - Long Island Weddings

My wedding is July 19 and we are planning on sending out invites by May 1-2 with an RSVP date of June 6th. Will give me a little more time to hunt down people and potentially invite some people from the B list!
