Rsvp date question with poll

Ok, I'm going to be sending my invitaions out the week of July 28th (after my bridal shower) Our wedding is September 28, 2008 and the final headcount is due in on September 16, 2008. Which Rsvp date should I use? What is more appropriate. Should I give myself 2 weeks for calling the no response people or 2 1/2 weeks

August 30th is the earliest date you gave, which should be fine.
Don't freak if they are not in by then. There are always a couple of people who seem to forget to send in a reply.
Allow about a week after that for straggelers and because of the long labor day weekend.

That should then give you enough time for you and FH to start calling those who did not respond.

I think your RSVP should be 8/28 actually.

Me too. Our RSVP date was May 14, and we were getting responses in June!

I agree. I'm getting married Sept 26, and my rsvp date is 8/26.
But if you don't want to do that, Aug 30 will work.

I'm 10/11 and MY rsvp date is 9/1. I say go earlier!!

I agree with the previous posts go earlier a month before that is what we did. But if you don't want to I think August 30 should be fine.

That's why I asked you ladies for your opinion. My sister thought 10 days before my RSVP date and I thought that that was cutting it close. I believe August is one of those months that has five weeks in it so If I put 8/28/2008 that would give them a month to respond fiiguring once mailed most people will get it in a week.

My RSVP date was almost 6 weeks before my wedding and I had almost 50 who did not RSVP...leave yourself enough time....people do not RSVP....so annoying...so I voted for 8/30
