RSVP ETIQUETTE QUESTION

I usually don't post a lot but I had was wondering about something I knew you girls can help me with. What is the 'etiquette' for RSVP returns...who should the RSVP's be returned to? Also, does it matter whos name and return address go on the outer mailing envelope?

TIA

Well when it comes to who its returned to just put wherever you prefer them to come back to...I put FH's name and address bc i usually go there after work, plus its easier.

Re: RSVP ETIQUETTE QUESTION

i always heard it goes to the Brides parents home..but addressed to either the Bride or whomever is paying for the bigger %!

I ended up mailing it to my parents bc i live out of town...and put my name on it!

Re: RSVP ETIQUETTE QUESTION

the return address is that of the person HOSTING (or keeping track of guest list) the wedding.

so...if your parents are paying for the wedding, it's to their address (with your name) because they are the ones who have to give the rh the final count.

i hope that make sense.

what happens if everyones paying, Fh and I are paying, my parents and his parents are putting in too...But i guess it goes to me since i am the one keeping track of the guest list.

Re: RSVP ETIQUETTE QUESTION

I have the same problem...everyone's paying and FMIL is crazy so I figured she'd flip out if she saw my parents name and not hers on the returns so I just put my name...but like i said she's crazy so that was a huge problem for her also

Ill be honest with you, i dont think i ever received an invitation and saw the return address and thought hmmm i guess they are paying for it...I am all about etiquette but with this one its hard, like you said everyone is paying so do whats easiest and yes i agree it would avoid drama if you have it sent back to you.

for e-party invites i put fh's name and address...It was easier for me bc i am usually at his house on weekdays.

Re: RSVP ETIQUETTE QUESTION

Traditionally, the bride's parents b/c traditionally the bride's parents host the wedding.

Have it sent wherever you want, though.

Mine will go to my parents, even though they aren't paying for the entire wedding...

Re: RSVP ETIQUETTE QUESTION

RSVP's should be returned to the people hosting the wedding. If the wedding is paid by several individuals, then the RSVP's should be returned to whoever is responsible for the guest list.
