RSVP methods
any of you ladies thinking of using online RSVPing for your guests? I think it would be nice to know right away if someone if coming or not because I love instant gratification, also maybe easier for those computer savvy guests? I thought this would also save postage and on paper goods but that's only if you strictly made RSVPing online and didn't give a mail in option. what do you ladies think? I don't have a wedding website and I don't want one but maybe I could use a wedding themed email address for RSVPS. opinions?!?!???

If you don't have too many older people Invited who don't use computers than that might work. It's a good idea and I'd love to do that but I have a lot of older aunts and uncles who would be lost trying to electronically RSVP.

Hmm I like the idea but I just feel like it would bring confusion. I would rather have RSVPs coming in from 1 place and 1 place only so I can keep tracking. Fh & I are traditionalist so we will just be using the RSVP cards.

agreed! I tried the online e-mailf or my engagement party and maybe 5 people used it! I had them call for a wedding have them mail back the cards it's easier to keep track and exciting!

After having a terrible RSVP response, we are considering giving the online option. It seems like people don't feel like picking up a phone to RSVP. With a wedding it's easier since you're literally just checking a line and dropping a card in the mail. We were going to do an online RSVP for the wedding but decided against it. I wish we did!

My FSIL and her fiance are doing the online RSVP. She isn't even sending out invitations, just doing everything from her website. My honest opinion, it's kind of rude. It's only my opinion, but I feel like if I'm that important to you, to be invited to share this special day with her, the least she could do is send me an invitation. If you're planning on doing regular invites, and RSVPs online only, make sure that all older guests have a way to respond also, bc many of them don't use the computer.

I'm thinking of doing RSVP postcards- postcard stamps are a little cheaper than regular stamps, and it adds up!

That's really rude! When we had our engagement party, a lot of my aunts on my fathers side never RSVP'd. So when they showed up, we made them feel stupid by saying 'Oh we didn't expect you!' or 'Oh what are you doing here?!'

LOL that's totally something FH and I would do.
Some people just feel that they're too important to RSVP, like we should just KNOW that they're coming.
