I would do July 18 at the latest. If they're coming from overseas, they need time to book their flights and hotels, and sending them out in June and an RSVP one month in advance is perfect.

I am doing my rsvp 5 weeks before the wedding.

Re: rsvp q

A month before the wedding is fine to do,both my sisters did that. And June is also fine to send out the invites. It leaves your guest with enough time to RSVP and save the date.

My wedding was 5/27/05 and my RSVP date was 4/18/05. So a little under 5 weeks.

People replied when they felt like it anywya, but that's another story.

I would do RSVP 2 weeks prior to your final head count

The standard month RSVP should be fine. You can always send out Save the Date cards to the overseas people and them you won't have to worry as much...you can even send them to people here you know who don't know when the wedding is...

Re: rsvp q

My wedding was 8/28/05 (Sunday)
Final head count to caterer 8/25 (Thursday)
Estimated head count to caterer, florist and number of tables 8/22 (Monday)
RSVP date was 7/28/05
Invites sent out 6/14/05
STD sent out 12/28/04

HTH -- Lisa

(ETA: I did not have all of my rsvps back until about 2 weeks before the wedding - and about 10 people had to be called to get their reply).

There are so many last minute details that I would say a month before the wedding is an ideal time to get the replys. Especially since some caterers require final head count a week before the wedding).

How long before my wedding should I set my RSVP date?

Your RSVP date should be 3-4 weeks before the wedding date.

I would also keep in contact with them as much as possible via emails and phone. Make sure they all know the date a head of time so they can start making plans now. Also by email you can get a basic idea if they can make it or not. Usually they'll send an email saying they can or can't make it, but they will send you the RSVP too.
