RSVP question

How far prior to your wedding date did you put the RSVP date???

We are doing August 28th for our Oct 8th wedding, so that's 6 weeks.

I did September 1st for October 1st so I hopefully get them back before Labor Day.

I did Oct 10 or something for our 11/27 wedding. I waited an extra week or so for the late responses before anyone was called.

If you plan on making your own placecards and things like that, give yourself more time.

Our RSVP date is September 12th for our October 15th wedding.

Suggestion - we simply wrote 'your early reply is greatly appreciated.' I think you may avoid a ton of people waiting until the day before the rsvp date before responding, this way. It also seems more cordial.

Thanks everyone...Considering my inviations have to be sent right after the holiday rush, I wasn't sure what I should put...So if I do Feb 17 for a March 31st wedding, I will be ok?

We did June 10 for our July 9 wedding...I am SO wishing we did one or two weeks earlier. We are missing 50 responses with 9 days to go and I can't get a lot more stuff done without the numbers. I suggest 5 or 6 weeks before the date if you can!
