SO what the heck is with EVERYONE responding NO to my wedding!!!! 2 of my first cousins arent comming and i was IN one of their weddings!!! we have more nos then yes!! ITS MAKING ME MAD!!! WHY WONT PEOPLE COME!!!
Part of me is sad and feels like its because my grandma passed 1 1/2 yrs ago and she held the family together....i miss her and im sad she wont be there too : (

Oh its ok......dont cry. There will be a ton of people at your wedding. The day of you wont even realize who is not there. Your grandma will be there with you too.

We've had a lot of no's too as you can see...
The way I look at it is... the people who really want to be there will be there. As long as I reach my minimum, I'm happy. If people won't make the effort to come, I shouldn't worry about it. They don't care... why should I?

Don't Cry.. Just remember, the next time thy invite you to something that they didn't come to your wedding... My own godmother already told me she wasn't comming and I didn't even send invites out yet!

Thanks for the words of advice girls :) i dont want them there anyway....my one cousin is a B***H and the other is a wreck so its okay...im just upset cuz my mom and i are working so hard...the didnt even send a card....one of them sent us 20 bucks for our shower....WOW

You are going to learn a lot about your guests during this time. We had 2 '40 something' year old male friends of FH say they couldn't come because they were feeling lonely and didn't want to be in a 'wedding' setting but would be happy to go to the bachelor party ??? . I had an aunt that is not coming for no apparent reason. My FH's aunt sent her response with a '0' will attend and then wrote 'Sorry'....that was it...his own aunt - not even a note or a phone call explaining.....
but the other girls are right, the people who really want to be there will be there no matter what and they are the ones that are truly happy for you.
Also, you may get a lot of 'yes' at the very end..which is what happened to me.

I totally understand. I had like 40 no's so far. And I am still missing some RSVP's it totally *****. But I also think alot of people are going away on vacations also. Did you send STD's?

I've been feeling bad about our RSVPS too... We have a lot of 'yes' replies right now, but it's family and my parents friends + my friends from NY. My OOT friends from school are slowly trickling in as NOs... and I know of more OOT friends (who have not officially RSVP'd yet) who already told me they won't be able to come.
I'm happy that most of my NY friends will be able to come, but it's depressing to keep getting Yes replies from my parents friends while having my own friends say No.
Weddings are expensive and people have a whole host of other reasons why they may not be able to make it. In one respect it shows you who is most important, but you never know the real reason so I'm trying not to take it too hard..
Maybe your Nos are just prompt? I know plenty of Nos are coming for us, they just haven't mailed their cards yet...
