We have to guarantee 200 (THAT'S no problem)...and our guest list has skyrocketed to about 310.
That being said, what is a typical show rate? I've read posts on here that said due to the economic crisis more people than ever are RSVP'ing 'no' than normal.
FH and I are saving our butts off and assuming everyone will show. I know we can do it financially, I'm just curious what percentages of 'yes' are typical. Thanks Ladies!

Re: RSVP Ratios
It totally depends on how many people are local vs out of towners. Also, did you send out STDs?

Re: RSVP Ratios
they say typically 20% say no. My sister's guarantee was 200 as well... she invited 260 and just made 200.

We didn't send out STD's, our favors for our engagement party were photo albums that had our save the date on the front.
Most of the out of towners (my family's side, anyway) know the date and are almost guaranteed to come. FH has relatives in Italy and Canada, and his dad swears that most will show.

Re: RSVP Ratios
We had ALOT of out of towners and our no rate was very high - 45% last June. We were under our minimum by 10

Just curious, does the reception hall work with you at all or do you have to pay for the amount of people you promised anyway? I am getting worried that we may not meet our minimum.
most wedding sites say the norm is 10-30%....off course this is not a guarantee...the economy really messed us up...we invite 298 (including the 'and guest' and ended up with only 176..plus our vendors. We had guaranteed and PIAd for 200 so our hall threw in extras.
