I was thinking about sending out postcards to those who still haven't RSVP'd. We are short 50 (that's 50 couples and families)
Has anyone done this? If so, how did you word it??

Re: RSVP troubles
We didn't but our RSVP date is today, so if by Saturday we don't have the remaining 35 cards back, we are going to start calling....

Re: RSVP troubles
that's a GREAT idea honestly!
Maybe go to vista and get a pic of a calendar and circle the RSVP date with a ticking clock...
just a gentle reminder - time is ticking....
something like that!
if you hit the right sale at vista - they'll be free!

Re: RSVP troubles
My RSVP was friday. I started calling people yesterday and told FFIL to get on his side of the family for missing responses.
I personally wouldnt send something by mail again. If they didnt answer that way the first time I wouldnt try it again. Some people are just like that.... JMHO

Re: RSVP troubles
you wait at least 4 days after your rsvp date then start calling.

Re: RSVP troubles
I like the postcard idea but, also agree that if they didn;t reply the 1st time by mail, why would they again? I think it's much easier if you just call. Wait a week after the rsvp date, if you can.

Re: RSVP troubles
My date was 8/1 and I am still waiting for about 60 cards. A post card idea is an excellent idea. Easier than calling.. I would try to make a little rhyme out of it but keep it nice and cute.
My FH came up with this... He actually really sat here and tried to come up with this... He's trying to be 'involved'
Just a reminder:
We would so like to have you, to celebrate our day But we'll understand If you can't make it our way So please give us a call, or drop a post So we'll know how many glasses to place When we vow and make our toast
He's cute

I love the poem!!!!!!
that poem is great. I used sendomatic.com for my save-the-dates, but it would work well for a follow up. It is not free, but should only cost you 10-15 dollars. I think it is much more elegant than e-vite.
