So my sis was invited to a wedding and i saw her response card sitting on her table and I asked her why she didnt mail it in yet? She said well, I dont know who I am bringing yet. I said well were you invited with a guest?? She said no. I said well why are you going to bring a guest if you were not invited with a guest? She said well, the envelope didnt say and guest, but the response card has the line for how many people you are bringing so that means I can bring a guest! I told her no and just write '1' and send it back.
After that issue with my sister, I started to get scared about the responses I am going to get to my wedding. Anyone else think about this sort of thing??

Re: RSVP's
hmm, I didn't think about that. I'm inviting most with guest but there are a few single girls that i dont just want randomly asking a guy to come.. im thinking maybe those girls could just come together. hopefully they will have ppl like you to remind them what the card means

Re: RSVP's
oh great - another thing to stress out over.
I'm worried about some of FH's friends doing this very thing....

Re: RSVP's
Im not that worried about it - I opted to spend a little more on our invites from Tessa. The response card outlines the names of who exactly is invited and the total number of people invited.. hopefully that will keep people from making their own rules. If they do decide to re-write the invite.. my parents or FHs parents will deal with it.. but YES RSVPs scare me...

Re: RSVP's
ours will have
__/__ will attend and I will either write in the # invited or print it out when I get to that step.
I can't have FH's friends inviting everyone they know to our wedding I could see a few of his friends saying hey did you know so and so is getting married oh you didn't get the invite.... well come with me

Re: RSVP's
I was worried about this, and I am specifying 'and guest' or not.
Tessa, of Evening Star Paperie, is going to print my response cards like this:
Mr and Mrs John Smith, there are two seats reserved for you at our reception
____ of us will be attending
____ regretfully, I/we cannot attend
So, each card will be personalized . . . . basically, she just has to print each one separately, but no more materials, etc., I just send her a list of names and # invited . . . .
Great idea!!!

Oh no... mine say the same thing. It says 'how many people will be attending?' I just hope people don't get the wrong idea

Re: RSVP's
I'm purposely having 'how many will attend' on my response so that if people put more then '1' and they aren't invited with a guest I can call their a$$ up and say 'um no' haha
