RSVP'S

SOOOO I received a RSVP today and the person who is my FMIL's cousin decided to add a guest to her response. Is it wrong of me to deny her the +1???

Ugh...and you didn't invite her with a +1? I would tell her that you will let her know if it's ok, when you get all the responses back. Some people

no.. apparently she's constantly in and out of relationships so we just gave +1's to people in serious relationships. I know some people have nerve!!

No, I would tell her nicely that although you would love to give everyone the opportunity to bring a guest, it just did not fit in your budget/guest list. I would either make the call or have my MIL do it since it's her family! LOL

Was going to write the same thing. I'd have my MIL do it!

Oh man that's tough. I could never tell anyone not to put a plus 1. I mean shes an adult right? I'm sure the gift will be for 2 people. I just think that's kind of rude.

I would wait until closer to the end when the bulk of the RSVPs are in. See where you are with your minimum. If you are over, I would have MIL call. If you're under, you may appreciate the plus one

People may not agree with me, but I'd let her come with a guest. To me, it's not worth getting pissed or stressed.

I had a couple RSVP with an extra 2 people! Weddings should be fun and not stressful, so I added the 2 people, and moved on.

I hear you! Weddings are tough man...but you know what? It might be weird if I went to a wedding without a date you know. I know it's annoying but we are brides so whatever we dont like we find annoying! venting is what these boards were made for...oh AND to find great deals and vendors. LOL

In the end you won't even realize there is an extra person...we get pissed off because people are not thinking of the bride and groom, but rather themselves when it is supposed to be pretty much soley about the bride and groom. As I have experienced a lot with this wedding planning process, a lot of people do not understand the proper etiquette for weddings...it is unbelievably frustrating!!! Just roll with it and don't let it get to you...don't let it ruin any part of your day!!
