I know this has been posted before, probably several times in LIW history but...
My RSVPs are stressing me out beyond belief! I mean, come on people you know if you are coming or not. I put a stamp on the thing. I even made it a postcard so you literally do not have to even put it in an envelope.
My lack of patience is due to the fact that I am more than likely not making my minimum. It is breaking my heart because my parents are paying for the reception. And I'm talking by like 25 people. Last week I got such a migraine and finally had my irrational bridal crying meltdown thanks to lack of RSVPs. Luckily in my contract I have that if the minimum is not met we can include children and vendors in the 125 minimum.
But even more than that, it is mostly FH's family who are not coming. They live all over the country so we knew it would be difficult, but I know he is feeling like his family does not care about him. People who he has considered to be a reader at the church are not coming. To make it worse, his grandma is sick so we don't know if she will end up coming (requires a 5 hour drive).
Bottom line... I now understand the desire to elope. Anybody else feeling me?

awwww don't feel so sad none of this will matter when your day comes so don't worry.. you can always ask for seat fillers but how many people did you invite over your 125?

I agree... everything has a way of working out and I'm sure there will be no problem finding people to fill the seat to make your min. if needed

Aw that stinks. Rsvp's really are stressful, I'm nervous that i will fall short but I'm also nervous that everyone will say yes and I will have to come up with a lot more money then we are planning for.
Ugghhhhhh, I feel you. I love seeing them just inside the door when I come home, but with only 6 more days to get mail before our RSVP date, over 25 cards still being AWOL, and 15 people under our minimum, it's getting stressful. Luckily, we still have another couple of weeks after our RSVP date before the final head count is actually due, but I was really hoping I wouldn't have to track down so many people. And the majority of them are on my side.
But the good news is that you can include vendors and children if you have to! I don't know if we can do that because technically we just got a lower price because we guaranteed a higher minimum than the venue's minimum for that day. They might tell me I'll just have to pay the higher price for less people. We'll see. We wanted more no's anyway to be closer to our minimum, but now I'm just hoping we meet it!
Awww I TOTALLY feel you on this!! 4 days till our RSVP date and I'm still waiting to hear back from half of the guest list. However I'm stressing for the opposite reason! We only need to guarantee 150 (we figured about 175 would come) and we invited 230ish people. Annnnnnnd we've received 1 no and 105 yeses. We're so going to hit at least 200. I've given up on stressing about the guest list. Though seriously, if i dont have all those RSVPs by June 15th (2 weeks after our RSVP date), I will probably throw a bridezilla fit. Bring on the wine haha

We invited 180 people. I keep trying to not care, it is very hard not to take it personally. 38 RSVPs to go, 4 days left to respond...there will be many calls made I'm sure!
Thanks for the support :)

OMG I was going to write this same post a week ago, but I'm trying to listen to my FW and be positive...but wth???? We did the same thing, we stamped and self addressed the return envelopes - just put them in the mail people!!! I am not counting text messages or fb posts as RSVP's, I don't feel that really commits people. My RSVP date is 5 days away and we are still waiting for a good number of RSVP's. I had my mini melt down yesterday. I'm just starting to invite people from our B list just in case. Good luck ladies!!

RSVP's were the most annoying thing for me, I never received around 20 of them back and when I called or texted the people most of them said they did mail them back with a yes...I believe because they are so small some get lost in other mail so don't stress about this at all. Yes it's annoying contacting people but more than half of the ones I had to call answered my text in 5 minutes so then the waiting was finally over just like that

I am literally going through the same thing! People also weren't booking their hotel rooms so I posted on Facebook yesterday that tomorrow was the last day to book the took before the special price and shuttle was taken away and every room booked! I think I might have to do that again for the RSVPs
