Rudeness.

FH just got his first glimps of wedding related rudeness. He works in banking and I just got this text from him:

So this couple was just in here. They got married at crest hollow on Saturday. I said oh nice that's great. I'm getting married at fox hollow. The guy looked at me and was like 'really? Oh we looked there but we didn't care for it. Everything just looked dated'. I wanted to punch him in the face. Like if you don't have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.

Then there was an obscenity at the end that I left out before they kick me off this website for my potty mouth lol. But like seriously?! People are so rude! I would never say something like that to someone! Just life FH said.. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!

wow! that's very rude. a simple 'congratulations' would've been just fine.

It's funny because one of my employees' daughter just got married this weekend at crest hollow. Obviously I don't know if it was her & her husband, but I wouldn't be surprised lol. Her mom is rude also

That's terrible! Such an unnecessary comment. But, as a Fox Hollow bride myself - we know it isn't true and clearly we picked it for a reason :)

You got it! Everyone has different tastes, I would never say to someone getting married in a place I wouldn't that I didn't like it. WHAT WOULD MISS MANNERS SAY?!?!

Poor fh.. He got so mad lol just gotta let it roll of your back though!

The nerve of some people. I have a coworker getting married in LI at a very popular venue that I don't particular care for. I would NEVER tell her my true opion of the venue. I wished her congratulations and that's all. Honesty is not always the best policy!!!

It's so surprising how many people just don't think before they speak. It's rude but your FH was a bigger person for just ignoring it. I just feel sad for people when they are so rude and have no idea that they aren't the center of te universe.

Wow! I can't believe how rude some people can be! Every single venue is beautiful its just a matter of taste. Just try and laugh it off because in the end they are the jerks and your wedding will be amazing!

Fh just told me he was a total d-bag, yelling at his new wife and telling her to 'shut the f^#% up' in front of fh (a total stranger). Clearly, we won't be taking any advice from them lol

Something similar just happened to me!!! Except not strangers. I told a friend I was getting married at Flowerfield, and she proceeds to tell me all the bad things they noticed when they went there. It hurt my feelings, more than anything, because we've been through so much trying to find a place. But, whatever, you just have to let it roll off. YOU picked it for a reason. Make it your own and enjoy your wedding.
