Rudest thing someone has said to you during the planning stages?
I saw this on the '06 board, and thought we could do our own!
I'll starts: I ALWAYS get asked 'Why are you waiting so long..?!?!'
Little did I know that money GREW on trees and that my wedding would pay for itself!!!!!!!!! Not to mention that my FH is working his a$$ off in biz school so he'll get a job that will support our family post-wedding.

I hate hearing 'Don't you think you're too young to get married?' Apparently, I'm retarded and after having spent 21 years not doing a single impulsive thing and thinking every single thing through, I picked marriage as my way of rebelling against that tradition.

Another one I hate is 'Why did you pick October? Is it cheap then?' No it's not cheap!! It's never friggin cheap!!!!! I think the term 'less expensive' is more appropriate.

Oh why didn't you marry your bestman/man of honor/best friend dave he is so much like you then him (my fh).
Yea dave and i have more in common then my fh and i but i don't like dating exact copies of myself its no damn fun. Fh and i have lots in common just not everything. When i want to do something fh doesn't like i go with my friend dave. No problems its good seperate time from fh and i and its healthy in my mind. I love my fh and i love my best friend dave and i just wish people wouldn't say that to me because it annoys my fh.

First of all I love the summer, its my wedding and its at night..its not like its gonna be 100 degrees or anything!

Let me preface this with saying my sister is getting married 5 months before me but she is not the type to come on here and do a lot of DIY projects or really research for 'new' stuff. So I do it for myself and of course tell her about it when I find something that I absolutely love! A lot of the stuff I have told her about she also wants to do which is fine by me I don't really mind
BUT
I hate it when people say things 'oh you're gonna do that just like you sister did?' UM no, first of all she is doing it the way I want to just that she's getting married first. (don't know if that's really rude but it bothers me!)
and the other thing that I find really rude is when my mother tells me that I ruined everything by deciding to get married 5 months after my sister cause she doesn't have enough time to save up money so we'll have to just be happy with what she has.
Sorry I planned the wedding around OUR fiances and not yours since you know WE ARE PAYING FOR EVERYTHING ON OUR OWN!

i know im young and im the baby of the family BUT im also in school becoming a nurse my FH is in the NYPD academy (like school) and we're as i call it.. poor college kids...lol so we want to wait till im done with school.. the adult thing to do... so we're waiting a year and a half... anyway....you ready for this one....
I called my grandmother to tell her im engaged its the night of.. and she asked oh whens the wedding i said i dont know yet prob a year and a half to 2 and she says.....'why so long??' i said 'b/c of school'... she then comes back with...'well i guess thats good cuz then i dont have to buy u a gift!!!!'

U go girl! As far as discounts- I wouldve NEVER thought of it, but they OFFERED me the discount! I was shocked. Lets just say my banquet coordinator is a real PIP! She fought with her boss to give the discount and he thought she was nuts! But me & FH DOVE on it!

hahaha i would have too... thats great and friday the 13th will be our luck days from now on!!! ... just when i thought i was outta my mind for booking that day.. my cousin calls and says shes getting married on Leap DAY... feb 29th.. shes outta her mind!
