Rudest thing someone has said to you during the planning stages?

I saw this on the '06 board, and thought we could do our own!

I'll starts:
I ALWAYS get asked 'Why are you waiting so long..?!?!'

Little did I know that money GREW on trees and that my wedding would pay for itself!!!!!!!!! Not to mention that my FH is working his a$$ off in biz school so he'll get a job that will support our family post-wedding.

ARGH!!!!!!

How about someone (GIRL) with total ring envy that took her BF out shopping for Erings the following week she found out we got engaged going up to my FH and asks 'So btw I've been meaning to ask you how much did you spend on Jessi's ring? Like 5?' And as FH is basically like pssssshhhht keep going...she keeps going ' 7?....8?....10??? He just basically told her keep going and walked away. he was pissed!!!! I told him he should have just laughed in her face and walked away,.....talk about missing the point!

She just wants to go back to her BF and be like Dan spent this much on Jessi's ring so you have to spend more so my ring can be better than hers...

I told him that the days of me standing on ceremony for her are over...the worst part is I have to see her at every show they play b/c her bf is his Singer!!!!

UGH!!!! I HATE HER!!!! NO ONE LIKS THIS GIRL...SHE's a friggin BEAST!!!

i HATE girls like that.. its not the size of the ring or the $$$ its the thought behind it.. i told my FH i didnt care if it came from the quarter machine!

ok mine is .....'Kim ...Aruba is disgusting ...my friend left her honeymoon early because it was so horrible...we're only staying for 2 days' that is my FBIL fiancee...wonderful right???

Aww, thanks T!!! I didn't really take it to heart, but it was such sweet validation when I lost 2lbs at WW that week! HAHAHAHAHA!!

so today I got yet another one - from a TOTAL stranger.

I'm taking the crosstown bus, and I wind up sitting next to this old crochety woman. She notices my e-ring and asks me when the wedding is. So I tell her. Then she asks 'Oh, thats nice. Do you live with your fiance?' So I tell her 'yes' and she makes a 'tsk tsk' noise, shakes her head and stops TALKING TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FH and I have been together over 7 yrs. He finally finished school a yr ago and has a great job. I'm finally working in my field.

SO I get.. 'you are going to wait 2 years?'

I know everone is really excited that we finally got engaged, but we are really trying to be practical here and want to save and buy a house. We feel like we would get nothing from renting.

Then I get from Mom.. 'the best times in a marriage is when you are struggling'... OH YEAH... just how I want to start off my marriage!

I totally agree!!!!!!!!!! I think girls who care solely on that are just marrying the other person because they LOVE HIS MONEY not him...thats not what marriage is about..I have a friend who is like that and i cant stand her..I think shes marrying for the wrong reasons!
