Russo Bride's

Russo Bride's

When we booked our wedding we added on the VH now, after going to Russo's bridal showcase this past week I can't stop thinking about the elements of style package. Has anyone else booked it? If so, if you do not mind could you FM me how much you actually paid for the package. I know it is supposed to run $15 per person.
Thank you!

We were thinking of adding it closer to the wedding (maybe price won't be $15) but we also likke the package

Just an FYI...I was thinking of adding it, but really only for the cake (we're getting the linen package from a client of my stepfathers as a gift)...

Then I learned that the 'average' package includes a rediculous amount of choices for cake designs and flavors/fillings.

Just an FYI...

I'm not that into the cake, my obsession is with the linens and chair covers.
I'm wondering if I should wait till we are close to our wedding date to inquire about the price.
I don't remember if the elements of style package includes uplighting..

I actually couldn't remember what it included either and I asked kelly to email me a few weeks ago, this is the package:

Elements of Style
Breathtaking Ambiance Created by Elements of Style
Specialty Linens

Your Dais and Cake Tables are Dressed with Sophisticated Linens fit for a King & Queen

Elegant Chair Covers with Embellishments

Damask, Satin Trimmed and Wilshire Napkin Changes Throughout the Evening

Ambiance Lighting

Butler Cocktail Hour Items

Distinguished Jacket Change at Dinner

Personal conference with our Bakery Chef to design the cake you’ve always dreamed of, served on a plate decorated with your personalized monogram

Choice of chic menu jackets showcasing your custom table menus

Specialty Dessert for your guests exclusively created by the Bride & Groom

Signature Drink

And I believe we paid $15pp and that was when we booked abotu 15 months ago. FMIL insisted so she's paying for it. I really didn't care.

Also, I'm not really sure what ambiance lighting means... I know they kept making a big deal about 'pin lighting' in the Tivoli room, which I believe are small spots on the table cp's...

M_Berk_Glenn has a great review up with lighting in the Rennaissance room.... she said that was provided by Russo's, not her DJ so I guess the 'ambiance lighting' is that... it looks really nice, I just don't know if it' sthe same int he Tivoli room...

the ambience lighting in the Renaissance is actually a lighting system they installed into the ceiling so the entire room is illuminated. it's really stunning when you see it. i'm not sure if Tivoli has it, though. it wasn't on during the showcase.

as for the elements of style package, i got a great deal for it. i certainly did not pay $15 for it. i did pay the $16 for VH, tho. i only wanted the linens and chaircovers and i expressed that to them, but they gave me a price i couldn't turn down. remember, our weddings are the best advertising they get. it's a room of 200+ people who will remember how amazing russo's was and they might want to host an event there, too. be smart and negotiate and try to speak to mr. russo if you can.

Re: Russo Bride's

I just did the math....it might pay to do this upgrade istead of paying for the extra 1/2 hour we were considering + the lighting/mono. For an extra $500 we would get the linens and other upgrades.

Any opinions on what is better...the full VH or the 1/2 VH with the below upgrade?? Any recommendations?

We are doing the full VH, there is nothing like Russo's VH so we went for it. They were willing to throw in the half vh for us, I would ask what they are willing to do for you..

Just curious, did you find yourself able to negotiate with russos? After our first walk through, I called back and received some pricing.. some things were reduced but really now want to try to upgrade for the linens/chair covers..Day of contract signing did you feel they lowered it more??

Also, what was the bridal showcase like?? I'm going in two weeks for their next one :)

Re: Russo Bride's

My uncle worked for Russo's as one of their chefs so since we had a family connection, we got a reduction in the price but only after speaking directly with Frank Russo, Jr. I know that Audrey (our BM) said that that was the only way to get a reduction in price (to speak directly to Frank Russo himself).

My Nanny would always tell me, 'You always have to ask because the most they can tell you is no...they can't murder you, or hurt you or anything like that...they can only tell you no.' So just ask...the most they can say is no...

About the bridal showcases...everyone that we've been to there has been awesome! I honestly have absolutely NO complaints about anything we've done or are doing so far with Russo's...it was honestly one of the best decisions we've made with this wedding so far!!!

You'll LOVE the bridal showcases! They make the room look so gorgeous, you'll wish it was your wedding!

Thanks so much for the advice! I wish the showcase was sooner because I'm so excited ;)
As for pricing, my FH will give it a try. I'll make sure to try to get to chat with Frank (hope the banquet manager,Carol, will make it happen). I'll update you guys on how everything goes!
