Kelly Greco, wedding coordinator at Russo's, invited my FH and I to our CAKE TASTING!!!! We're going to go April 6th, but not sure on the time just yet (it's either 6:30 or 8:30 - I'm hoping FH says to go later).
SO EXCITING, YET CRAZY AT THE SAME TIME...this means the wedding is coming up quickly!
Any other Russo's brides going or want me to take notes?!

Not going yet, we are goin to schedule a tasting, but yes! Notes!! I want to know what different kinds of flavors they have beyond the regular chocolate vanilla and red velvet. Anything with an amaretto? Or Mascarpone frosting? Mmmmm... ::drools:

OMG, wait until you do the food tasting...GO EXTRA HUNGRY!! There were 6 of us at the food tasting and we couldn't finish everything they gave us to try! AND...here's the best part....YOU CAN TAKE THE LEFTOVERS HOME
I will most certainly take notes and pass along the info! I know that Audrey, our BM, said that there's 25 - 30 different styles of cakes to choose from and 30 - 40 different fillings/cake combinations.

Do I need to contact them to inquire about a tasting or will they just contact me? I'd like to have a food and cake tasting. I hate bugging them too much. I'm sure I'll bug them enough closer to my date.

I never knew they did a food tasting til a few weeks ago and believe me, I called right away to ask about it. Kelly said we can schedule one through our BM whenever we want, so I'm just waiting to work out a datr with FH and we'd like to bring our parents.

this does NOT help with my diet. ahhhh. i've already tried their cake at the bridal show at russo's. so good. we have nothing to worry about. this doesn't mean i am skipping the proper cake tasting. i love foood!

You'll get an invitation to the cake tasting a few months before the wedding. Our wedding is in July so we've been invited for the April one. This is where you see different examples of cakes and taste the different fillings/cakes to choose from.
The food tasting, although not necessary bc the food is absolutely phenomenal at Russo's, is highly recommended. I wrote a whole review about it (I'll see if I can find it someplace on here). You can bring up to 6 people so my parents, my FH's parents and the two of us went. IT WAS AN INSANE AMOUNT OF FOOD! My one recommendation is to call early to get a date because they like to schedule them when other events are occurring bc you piggy back off of their parties. We got there at 8pm and we left around midnight...and we ate the ENTIRE TIME!!
