Doesnt look like its falling apart??!!?? And how would you know anyway unless you actually looked at it. I doubt its falling apart, its probably a lot smaller and with less land than the other houses on the block or surrounding areas. South Merrick is a beautiful area with some tremendous houses!! And I know this for a fact because my fiance teaches in the elementary school where all the kids from south merrick go.
I cant stand people who make negative comments or are just plain negative people who have no real clue or evidence of what they are talking about.

Scott, thanks for showcasing that house, and good luck to anyone who might be interested in it!! Could be a diamond in the rough!!

Well, I would just take an EDUCATED guess considering I had been looking all over that neighborhood and believe me, in that price range and in a nice neighborhood, it is not going to be in good condition. Possibly my idea of a what is nice and what is not nice is very different from everyone elses.
and I do have evidence and a real clue.
I'm not negative, i'm realistic, big difference.

Not really sure what you mean by this or where you're going with it... Dreamer? Yeah, I am always dreaming how great it is that the price of living on LI is so high, brilliant!

I imagine that the house is closer to Merrick Rd. off Beach Drive possibly - Did it say what street it was on? I didn't see it...there are lots of smaller homes in that area - now everyone is buying them & knocking them down.

I've seen the house and it is extremely small.....just like the one from the Geico commercial. Downstairs, you walk into a small living room with room for a table off to the side and then a gally kitchen...two really samll bedrooms on the first floor then upstairs you walk through a cave (my head just cleared the ceiling and i am 5'5) into a bedroom. It was terrible in my opinion and not even worth 399.

Edited to add that it was a street off of beach I believe.....Oh and no basement

It's cute, but to me, that dormer looks like it is partially built over the front porch and it does not look that structurally sound. Or maybe it's me.

those homes near beach drive were originally vacation homes and are quite small compared to south merrick...but everyone is buying there and knocking them down to build new bigger houses...
