Sad

lol ok this is going to sound really weird, but I'm sad so I just wanted to write lol back in the day I thought I was in love with somebody I met at college orientation, when come to find out, I just really needed him to help me get through the first month of college and I confused that with love (lol weird, I know) Anyway, this guy turned into my best friend and I haven't seen him in years, but we talk every few weeks or so, and he just called me up reluctantly telling me that he won't be able to come to our wedding - I'm so sad! I never realized it would bother me so much that he couldn't make it, but now i'm so upset.. Vent over (just needed to get that out)

Re: Sad

I'm sorry. Well, at least you know that you mean so much to him that he wanted to tell you now. This will give you time to prepare that he won't be there. Is he okay that you're getting married? (no left over crushes?). Maybe you can go out with him before or after your wedding to celebrate with him and your FH? That way, you know you will celebrate with him, and it will be more quality time just with him, instead of him having to share with with over 100 people.

Does he live in another state? Maybe he can't afford to travel here for the wedding? Maybe you can offer to help him with that, if having him there on the day means that much to you? I don't know the situation, but I'm sorry you're sad!

Re: Sad

Thanks Sarah He actually lives in Texas, but he was able to come up until earlier today when his boss told him that he needs to pick a place to relocate his job to out of like 20 states, so now he is moving to Louisiania where his soon to be fiance lives... so all of the travelling and taking time off to prepare for the new job isn't going to work... He's going through a lot now, so I understand, but it's still no fun. FH and him have never met and they would get along GREAT, so everybody was looking forward to meeting each other, but his family lives up in Monroe near the outlets, so when he visits them, he's gonna come down and celebrate than, so at least that's one good thing

Re: Sad

I know what you mean. I'm inviting a teacher I had when I was 14 that I had a HUGE crush on. When I started dating joe before we were serious, I ran into him and he told me just in light inocent chit chat that he was now divorse. LOL I had that little perkie feeling. But hes coming to the wedding now, ironically!!!!
But he didn't make to my engagement party. He thought it was the next day. So I know how you feel. How sad you feel when you get your hopes up just to see someone you really care about , in such an innocent way..
