okay - so now that the rsvp's are in - i'm feeling sad....

my mom's best friend can't come because her husbands' salary was literally cut in half....(live in fla).

my godmother fractured her ankle and has not been working for the last month so now she can't come...(live in fla).

NONE of Dave's family is coming because of his crazy mother....

i'm starting to feel kinda sad about this whole thing...

Im so sorry to hear about the guests who are not coming

I can totally sympathize....similar situations happened with my engagement party and it was only my engagement party.

Just remember, you will have the best day of your life and most importantly you are getting married.

I am sorry you are sad...try to focus on the positive. All the great guests you will have. How happy you will be when you see your FH that day.

i dont know the background about dave's mom - but why is nobody coming because of her? is it that bad? well F them jess, because you want people there who love you guys and want the best for you not people who dont sincerely care about you guys.....so trust me, the day of you wont be missing them!

i have alot of fam in florida too and im already stressing about them coming.....its even hard just for my parents to make it its giving me chest pains already!

Aww sweetie I know that must be hard, but all of them want to be there and they want you to have the most perfect day ever! Which you will! It'll still be the best day of your life...cheer up!

Don't feel sad. The people who truly love you and Dave will be there (barring financial difficulties obviously) and you will have the most wonderful day.

When you look back on your wedding - you'll look back with joy and love and elation. The people who can't make it b/c of finances don't love you any less and the people who aren't coming b/c of his crazy mom - well - you won't miss them anyway.

It's b/c you got into work so early. Goddamn these early mornings.

i dont understand why nobody is coming because of his mom, but the people who are coming love and support you, and those are the kind of people you want to be in your lives, your wedding will be fabulous with or without them, girl your getting married to the LOVE of your LIFE and that is all that matters.................

and those who cant come due to financial reasons love you, and i'm sure they will be thinking of you......... i'll fly in from pa. and come to your wedding just promise i get the biggest piece of cake, but seriously you are not even going to notice those people, only your new dh.

Aww sweetie......don't let Dave's mothers craziness put a damper on you special day. It is about you and Dave and your solemn vows to one another. It's really not about who is there as long as you and Dave are. It's going to be a special and magical day, and for those who can't come for health or financial reasons just know that they'd be there if they could.

don't let this get you down (but i know it does anyway). your wedding day will still be very special. without knowing the situation, i will say that i hate that people can be so petty that they won't celebrate in other people's joy just because of one person they don't care to be around.
