So my uncle passed Monday night after a long battle with cancer, he is in a better place now.

But now I have no motivation to do anything wedding related! Today I get to see my sample centerpieces, but then have to go to the wake. I just don't even want to see the flowers. And I know people are going to ask me about the wedding and I don't want to talk about it. (when I went to visit him in the hospital last week, people kept asking)

It's understandable not to want to talk about it. Give them a quick, 'Everything's going well, thanks.' I am not sure people will ask if they are all mourning too.

so sorry to hear about your loss...give yourself some time to mourn. If you have a lot more to get done before your wedding, try to delgate to others.

I think it's understandable for you to feel this way...I think if they're at the wake they won't go into asking too much detail about the wedding.

Don't feel pressured to do anything if you do not feel like it though. If anything delegate to someone that may actually want something to keep them busy maybe.

I am totally with you!!! Soooooooo sorry for your loss. I am experiencing the same thing. Just found out last night that my only livign Aunt has liver cancer and it's terminal and very advanced and has a few months. My wedding is 3 months from today and I don't want to do anything for it.

So sorry for your loss....

Thats exactly what it is. I think they want to talk about happy things, but I am just not in the mood to feign happiness right now or talk about myself.
