Ok I've held this in but I just wanna say... and this is JMO - I dont think it was very nice to write the original post about not wanting to write on LIW. I mean, after almost 18,000 posts (yes, the girl who said she is tired of posting has almost 18,00 posts) - why ruin it for others? Why make anyone else feel like their posts or questions are 'the same old questions'? If you dont wanna post - dont post! Dont post about how you dont wanna post! JMO.

its really not that serious. yea she has 18K posts but shes been on here a while planning her wedding. so as we plan we ask questions and weddings consume our life. when the wedding is over...our life is consumed with something else. i know for me....after having a wedding consume my life for 2 years i welcomed the break...as did my DH. now our life is moving onto a new chapter of being a newlywed and with that comes other topics like buying houses....having babies....starting a new life. Some NW's are more interested in where THEIR lives are at this point. i dont think it was wrong of her to state the fact that she feels a little disconnected from the wedding talk because thats not what her life is about anymore. it wasnt meant to offend anyone. and someone else commenting on being mad at what christine said....well i hate to tell you but you will see. i worried and stressed about little things and then the day of it was NOTHING. none of you will know that until you have you wedding so right now we prob sound mean when we say that but its much easier to make assumptions about something when you havent done it yet. so dont get upset/mad/offended.....when your wedding is over you will undertand

Honestly - I could care less who says what - I was just messing around up there.

But if people don't want the group of people they're discussing (DUH! we can read your newlyweds only board) to get all in a tizzy...

They should probably not word it 'Derr well I get all peeved now when those girls are getting all nutso about little teeny tiny details. When mahaha isn't it funny... I was probably doing the same thing just three months ago!? HURRR!'

How about:

'Aww, I miss wedding planning but I'm excited to start talking about babies.' (Like some of you wrote)

instead of 'Ugh listening to them talk about things that ultimately aren't important 'piss me off' (Really.. .they piss you off? ) and ugh! UGH! ughhhh!'

And yes... I'm sure when our weddings are over we will understand. Hell, I understand right now. I'm already sick of talking about weddings. But I'm not on the next block over badmouthing it. If you're sick of weddings and wedding talk... why are you on LIweddings.com? Newlywed board sure but? Move along little dogies!

But seriously - I don't care. Just going to bat for my 2010 girls who AREN'T married yet and are still being classy.

What she said.

I'm not even married yet but have passed over reading and/or responding to posts of questions that have been asked eleventy billion times for months now. There's a search function for a reason, and I just don't feel like entertaining questions that are asked over and over again.

It's just the natural progression of things...the wedding is just a day, the marriage is a lifetime. The focus ends up shifting with everyone at some point.

I still come on here and give advice where I can, but after all the madness I do welcome the break also. It took me a good 3 months after getting my proofs to bea able to even look at them to choose b/c its very overwhelming. Its not people don't care about other peoples weddings its just that we have other things going also. I also am buying a house so I've been posting on the home board on LIF alot, I have a lot on my mind with that. I don't think it was meant to offend anyone but I have noticed alot of people dropping off the boards slowly...

Re: sad

It was great planning, if you're married now, congrats! From all the pictures I've seen thus far, everyone had beautiful weddings!! To the girls still getting married, can't wait to see your pics and see all your plans and thoughts and madnesses come together! I haven't been on as much but that's b/c DH/family and work are now taking a front seat in my life, wedding planning is no more. But all of the 2010 girls at one time shared a common goal, with common stress and headaches. That's no longer the case for some of us, but for those who stay to help the 'later' girls, I'm sure it's very much appreciated. For those that don't, good luck in your new life and be happy! It's been awesome knocking our heads together!

On to the next weddings!! Summer's almost here!!

Re: sad

I can see why you girls would be sad. Like Regy and Kris said - I have been on this board for almost two years at this point. And with 2 months left I am so over everything wedding related, so it makes it hard to post because of that, it used to be fun and exciting, now it is overwhelming.

I also think that as new girls came on throughout the past few years the vibe of this board changed, understanably as new personalities came into the mix. It's a good thing, but I think (as I have been told) that some of the 'old times' backed away a little. And now that more and more people are getting married it is time to move on....
