Sad about e-pics

What would you do if you got your e-pics back and were not happy with them? I think they are real basic photography 101 shots. I am so upset and I don’t know what to do. I already signed the contract which was more money than most but I really took a liking to the photographer.

I just thought with their experience (my photographer in particular) that I would have AMAZING pictures. Little things like placing us right in the sun so we are squinting, not making us smile, not posing my face so I don’t have a double chin, cheesey poses etc is what is bothering me. I have committed to spend a lot of money and truthfully I don’t love one out of them all. The things I question are truly the basics to “good” picture taking.

What do I do if this happens with my day of pics as well? Maybe I am being picky but I really expected super amazing artsy pictures not basic everyday generic shots.

Help !!!!!!!!!

who did you use if you dont mind me asking?? maybe you can ask to meet with the photographer and point out what you liked/disliked, at least so the same thing doesn't happen at your wedding.

I am actually in shock Debbie that you were not happy...Did 'your photographer' take your pictures??? I would definately call & ask to see him so you can explain what you liked/disliked so that you don't have the same on your wedding pictures...

I thought the same about my e-pics. They were inside, sort of boring and one or two of the poses in particularly were just stupid. I asked another bride on here to send me her wedding pics from the same photographer and I was relieved to see how gorgeous they were. Very photojournalistic. Can we see some???? You are your worst critic....

I don't love all my epics either, maybe a handful of them but I kind of expected that. I had problems too with the sun and looking bad but that's because engagement pics aren't supposed to be so posed. I was told to just be natural and have fun. I don't have one posed shot - I'll do all those on the wedding day. I'm sure some of them are great - we are always our own worst critic.

Mine were ALL posed. NOthing natural about them. I will scan them tonight and post. Thanks ladies.

So sorry Debbie!!
Maybe you are being too hard on yourself.

It's terrible that you don't like your E-pics, especially since it's the same photographer for your wedding. I wouldn't want you to dislike your wedding pics.

I think we need to see some pics.
I hope it all works out!!

this is a good idea......that way you can be very open about what it is you do not like. If you don't feel comforable with your response from the photographer, you can switch to a different one if that is possible
