So, I've been exchanging multiple e-mails with Angelica Glass. The first e-mail was just to ask about availability. SHe said she was available for my date. Then we went thru all sorts of things I wanted, pricing, how to get things I need in a package...and today, after 9 exchanged emails and me feeling like I'm about to book her, she e-mails me and says she forgot she'd be in Greece during my wedding....
I got really excited for her and now I'm sad....
Who else can I book? I checked something in blue, but their packages START at the price of her most expensive....
Anyone have any other suggestions? She suggested Kenny Pang, but I only see one review on her and it has no pictures.

I definitely recommend Thomas Paul and Kenny Pang. I've worked weddings with both of them and they were FANTASTIC. It made me wish I had booked them for my wedding. If you want to see some Kenny Pang pics, FM me.

You guys are all the best, thanks so much for the suggestions.
Just so everyone knows (in case they were wondering) I got in touch with Something in Blue and they do not negotiate (he flat out said our prices are not negotiable when I asked if paying in cash would do anything for me). Maybe that info will help someone else who might run across this post in the future :)

We are using Duet and I can not say enough good things about them. You can check out their work in my album. We had our e-pics done by them.

I am using Kenny Pang, he was recommended to me by Angelica because she was unavailble for my date. I think his work is amazing and he is such a nice guy, I obviously do not have any pictures yet but would highly recommend him based on my experiences so far and what I have seen of his work. Also, a lot of the girls from the Knot have used and recommend him, I wouldn't be discouraged by not finding much about him on this site!

I was going to post this as well.
There are tons of awesome photographers who are not necessarily popular on these boards.
Aw, that's too bad! I've been interested in a lot of photographers who are similar to Angelica Glass..check out Blue Daisy, which is who I'm probably going to go with, Roberto Flack, and Danny Weiss.
I booked Blue Daisy, but KitWisdom said it all!!! hehe
There are a lot of amazing photographers out there that just havent been used or posted on liweddings, besides Angelica Glass!

DO NOT get discouraged. The funny thins is my wedding is 1 week before yours. I emailed Angelica also, got pricing, but she was not available. She does awesome work but I looked online and they are some photographers that are really good also.
I havent picked one yet. Just started doing research. Go the brides review and look at their pics. That's where I got my list of photographers. I didnt count on the photographers website but instead the brides on LIW.

there are also lots of other photographers who have a very photojournalistic style. New york magazine has a whole list on their site of nyc photographers...just put in search nyc wedding photographers and youll get the list

awww I'm so sorry!!! That absoultely stinks!! I HIGHLY recommend George from Right Angle!! He is soooo sweet and his work is AMAZING! Has great packages too! HTH!!

I've seen Kenny Pang's work...a girl I work with used him and her pics were gorgeous!!! And I can't recall, but I don't think his rates were bad either.
Also check out Cappy Hotchkiss. I saw her after I booked my photog and her work is amazing.
I'm using Modern Wedding Photography. Denise is great with photojournalism.
