all I have done is book the date and place!!! I am getting married in Jan so obv it's very early 2012... so we were ready to at least set a date. I am waiting until the summer to start booking. It's good to book early so you can lock in prices! That is, if you know what you want!

Wow you guys have booked already and some are almost done? how far in advance do most brides book things? My parents keep telling me its too soon so I went and bought the only thing I could with my MOH - MY DRESS!! I didnt mean to buy it but i just fell in love and it was stuck in my head and then I was told they would be discontinuing it so I just bought it and I'm happy about it. I want to start booking venues and photogs but my parents drag their feet on everything. My mom keeps telling me I'm going to change my mind or find something better. Should I just start going out and looking with my BM's and FH? That way when the parents are ready all we'll have to do is book!?
I haven't even asked my bridal party yet!!! I feel like it's a little too soon... I am going to do that by the summer, too. I think that if you are feeling like you want to start planning, then do it! IT never hurts to go out and look and see what's out there! Maybe just go out with FH and get an idea of what type of hall you want. You can also start going to bridal shows that way you can get ideas!
As for the dress, congrats! I think it's nice that you found something you love. And worse comes to worst, if you decide you want something different, I am sure you can sell this dress and get something else!
Christina-The colors I want are the ones in the bo-k in my pic... and black! IT's shades of red, ivory, and some champagne!

Hey Girl.. I'm January too and I;m taking it slow as well. I got the place, the date obviously, and the photographer. Its hard getting things done with work and grad school! I want to try to post more though!
