Sad news

I just want to ask everyone to please take a moment to think of all our service men/women who are currently a long way from home and think some good thoughts for them.
It is so easy to get caught up in our plans, I know I do, and sometimes forget what is going on all around.
Then I get a call from my FH, a Marine, telling me he may have to be shipped to 'somewhere' he can't say it over the phone for reasons of national security. I now know the place and all I can say is that its not peaceful. Somehow where we are having our wedding just isn't important anymore.........
I want you all to be happy, and I don't mean to be depressing, just a reminder to think of all these people and what they sacrifice daily so we can live freely and be able to plan our gourgeous weddings.

Re: Sad news

Thank you for the reminder. We have to keep things in perspective. While our weddings are exciting and wonderful to plan, there are so many more important, world-altering events going on. I have a good friend who was in Iraq during the war. I wish your FH all the best.

It's so true about getting caught up in the wedding stuff. I will keep the men and women in service in my thoughts and prayers..as I ALWAYS do! Especially your FH!

I am so sorry girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know exactly what you are going through
I guess the only thing you can do is stay strong and postive for him.
Remember that you have us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we'll help you get through this.
I know that when FH was away in Iraq last year, I was very, very lonely and
no one knew what I was going through. My friends were very supportive, but
they all had their own lives and things to do. Don't worry, everything will be
ok!!! and to keep busy, just concentrate on school and think about when he
returns (that's what I did) and continue to plan your wedding, this will keep
your mind occupied!!! Good Luck and God Bless you and your FH.
He will be in my prayers.

Thank you for reminding us that there is so much more going on than all this wedding planning....sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the fairy tale of a wedding and we can lose touch with reality. I wish your FH a safe and speedy return home. He and all our men and women in the service will be in my prayers.....

Thanks to all our GUys and GIrls serving our Country....

I have a lot of friends who are in the Military, all branches, and my Grandfathers were also veterans....

Its such a scary thing, and you hit it right on the head...If it was not for your FI and all the great service people, past and present, we would not be in this great place we call AMERICA.

My heart goes out to you and I send you extra

I can imagine what you both are going through being that I am the veteran in the family.

Yes, there are more important things than a wedding , this silly world we live in gives us daily reminders.... BUT also remember that it is also a celebration of a new life that you two will begin together and although it is not as important it can be an escape of sorts from our sad reality.

Tracy... my heart goes out to you.

I am definitely thankful for those brave men and women, including your FH, who risk their lives everyday for us so that we may live a smoother one here.

I'm so sorry to hear that Tracy. You know I definitely understand how you must be feeling. Hang in there. I know more than anything that I can be in your shoes at any given time.

I will keep your FI in my prayers. Whenever you need to talk I'm here for you.
