Sad news

Original post by lilqtny

I just want to ask everyone to please take a moment to think of all our service men/women who are currently a long way from home and think some good thoughts for them.
It is so easy to get caught up in our plans, I know I do, and sometimes forget what is going on all around.
Then I get a call from my FH, a Marine, telling me he may have to be shipped to 'somewhere' he can't say it over the phone for reasons of national security. I now know the place and all I can say is that its not peaceful. Somehow where we are having our wedding just isn't important anymore.........
I want you all to be happy, and I don't mean to be depressing, just a reminder to think of all these people and what they sacrifice daily so we can live freely and be able to plan our gourgeous weddings.

That is so true. I had posted around christmas to send a greeting card via e mail to the troops who could not be there with their familes. May God bless the troops for protecting our freedom.

Re: Sad news

It's so easy to forget the men and women who are fighting for our freedom, especially when you don't have anyone close to you in the service. Thanks for the reminder.

My thoughts and prayers go out you, your FH and all our troops.

My friends always make fun of me becasue I take holidays like July 4th and Memorial Day seriously. I am very thankful to be an American, and even more thankful for the brave men and women who serve this country. God speed to your FH and all his companions. May they all have a speedy and safe return. And may your heart be strong as you wait for him to come back.

Don't let it bother you, I am so happy you make a big deal out of it and w ish more people would.

As of today, 2-23, he was told be ready at a moments notice, so now I have to go to work with swollen eyes, crying, and deal with a grumpy old man of a boss.

waiting for his call.............
