Sad News

My mom just called... my great uncle Joe (my grandmother's brother) was admitted to the psych ward at LIJ on Wednesday for dementia . He wasn't at the wedding on Sunday (had declined, didn't just not show up) but we didn't think too much of it. But now we know why. This man is truly the funniest person I have ever known, we love him so much!!! And, the worst part is he's in perfect physical condition!!! They did all the testing, et al to make sure it wasn't due to medication or an illness or anything and everything came back in tip-top shape. So now he's just going to have to completely deteriorate for who knows how long

im so sorry! my grandmother god bless her soul died last year. but she had dementia for a couple of years which eventually turned into altizimers diease at the age of 87 years old! my prayers are with you and your family hopfully they will find a medicine for your grandma's brother.
