I read your other posts. I am so sorry that your cousins can't pull up their tights and make it work for you. I am just like you. I would go into total debt to be there for a friend or family member I loved. I have done that actually! It just suucks when people let you down. You have every right to be disappointed!!!! Of course you understand but you certainly don't have to like it. They just wouldn't make the effort and that hurts. I am so very sorry honey.

Don't ever change! We will always bend over backwards and that will be rewarded. Karma is a biitch. At least you now have 2 less BM gifts to purchase!

EXACTLY SWEETIE! THANK U ~ I would go in debt or give my left arm for my friends & family that i love! That is just the way i am....Actually i already started buying my BM gifts last year... something i just bought recently is going right back to the store and i did buy something that i cant return since it is personalized i am going to send it to them after the weddding since i cannot use it!

That's F'd up! Not for nothing but you are completely right here. A year and a half is plenty of time to save if you say you are going to be in a wedding party. I can't believe they said it would be a financila burden just to come and then stay in NY for St. Pat's day. I say- GOOD RIDDANCE! You will def be better off without those two!

I had two of my BM drop out last night... I had a feeling since these two are sisters and have not callled in there dresses yet... they were two of my OOT BM...

I have a similar problem with my cousins and they are sisters. Everyone went to ordered their dresses on Saturday and they were the only 2 that didnt show up. I really didnt expect one of them to come because she just had a baby. But she could of at least try to get her measurements in and find a way to have someone bring the money to me. But the other sister I expected her to be there. She is planning to go on vaction today and I felt that she should have placed her order before she left. I also forgot to mention that she is a bride to be herself in August. Everyone have financial difficulties and obligations, and I feel that if u accepted to be a BM that is one of ur obligations. If I dont get a pone call from them this weekend I am going to assume they are not interested in being a BM and just deal with the 5 I have left.

I would do the same and that is what i was planning on doing myself ~ I gave my BM a deadline for the end of January but i am giving everyone until the end of February and whoever does not order there dress i am assuming they have changed there mind ~ The one cousin that dropped out last night emailed me her measurements and told me her check was in the mail a month ago (guess what still have not received her check) ~ THANK GOODNESS I did not lay out the $$ for her yet ~ I was waiting until the end of February.

Your BM going on vacation should have gone and ordered her dress before she left that is what i would have done if i was her.... in all the times i have been a BM I have never been a problem when i was told to order my dress i did whatever was expected i did plus some ~ these BM's these days are high maintanance (he he) (just kidding) if any of my other BM are lurking....

IM sorry you are going thru this. I agree that sometimes people say yes too soon!
