Sad news..

FH and I went to a wedding Friday night and we just found out that the brides father passed away the night after their wedding! He had been really sick and was in the hospital for awhile. He couldnt even make it to the wedding but they went up there to see him after the ceremony but before the reception. And the groom (FH's best friend) just lost his father a couple of months ago too. Its unfortunate that everytime they think about their wedding they'll have to remember that too.

How sad!!! So sorry to hear that!

It is always sad to lose a loved one, and I can't imagine losing a parent. But, maybe her father held on for as long as he did bc he wanted to be there for her on her wedding day - and even though maybe he didn't make it to the actual wedding, she got to see him on her special day.

Thats what everyone is saying. It gives me chills just thinking about it!

Wow... That is sad. But in a way, maybe he was holding on to see his daughter as a bride. It is a testimate of his strength.
So sorry to hear.

Wow how sad. It going to be hard for her every yr but on the good side of it is she did get to see him and him her the day of her wedding. It must mean something that he held on to the next day. My prayers for her and her family

that is so sad. i hope they are okay but i know it must be rough right now.

i mean..at least he made it to see her get married...(since she saw him before the reception and after the church...)
maybe he was waiting for that and finally let go.
